Development - Download the Source Files
Introduction
The FreeBar Source Files are on a Server, which is managed by the Version Control System Subversion (SVN). Therefore it is easy to watch changes on the Files.
There are two Methods on how to get the Files.
Method 1 - Download the Files with a SVN Client
If you download the Files with a SVN Client, you can easily make changes on them. It is also easy to update them.
I recommend the free TortoiseSVN Client. It is easy to use, because it integrates into the Windows Explorer.
To get the most recent FreeBar Source Files with TortoiseSVN, do the following:
- Download TortoiseSVN and install the program
- Start the Windows Explorer and create a new Folder, for exampe C:\FreeBar Files.
-
Right-click this Folder and choose SVN Checkout. Enter the following in the box URL:
http://freebar.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/freebar/trunk
Click on OK and wait until all Files have been downloaded.
Method 2 - Browse the SVN Server online
You can also browse the FreeBar SVN Server online. Then you do not have to install SVN Client Software on your PC.
But I only recommend this Method for browsing the SVN Server. If you want to make changes to the Files, you should use Method 1.
The FreeBar SVN Server can be browsed online at the following Address:
